Demos that record themselves.

Describe what you built and approve the script. Cutscene records a narrated demo inside your own logged-in app, then hands you a link to share.

Free for 10 minutes of video a month. Works in Chrome.

An animation of the whole flow: Claude Code sends a description of the new invite feature to Cutscene. The side panel writes a five step script that will run 31 seconds. Recording starts, a cursor opens the invite dialog in the app, types an email and sends the invite while captions show the narration. Then the share page plays the video and the link is copied.

Say what you built.

Type a few plain sentences in the side panel, or pick up the notes Claude Code just sent. Cutscene reads the page you are on and writes the steps against its real buttons.

An animation of the side panel: a short description of the invite feature is typed in, Write script is clicked, Cutscene outlines the buttons it found on the page, then the five steps of the script appear one by one.

Paste a ticket, a pull request summary or two sentences of your own, and every step points at a button or field that is really on the page.

You know the length before you record.

Every step is one action and one line of narration. The voice is made before you record, so the time on the Record button is how long the video runs. Edit a line and watch it change.

An animation of the script as a timeline of five beats, each as wide as its time. The second line of narration is shortened to “Then I open the invite dialog.”, its beat shrinks from 6.4 to 2.9 seconds and the button changes from Record 0:31 to Record 0:27. Then a playhead plays across the new timeline.

Edit what the voice says and what happens on screen, reorder steps by dragging or with Alt and the arrow keys, and undo a deleted step with one click.

Recorded in your real app.

No test accounts to set up and no screen picker. Cutscene drives the tab you are already signed in to, on localhost, staging or production.

An animation of three short recordings of the same app on localhost, staging and production. One click on the Cutscene icon starts recording the tab, with no screen picker. The cursor opens a dialog and types an email, highlights a pending invite, then searches the team list.

The cursor glides, clicks and types at a pace people can follow, and if a button goes missing it pauses, looks again, then offers Retry, Skip or Stop.

Narrated and captioned for you.

Pick one of eight natural voices and it reads your script, step by step. Every video gets captions timed to the narration.

A narration timeline for the example script: the five steps, the voice waveform and the caption cues. As the page scrolls, a playhead moves along it and the caption for that moment shows over the video. The selected voice is Odysseus, one of eight.

Spell out how a word is said, like “read me” for README, and play the whole narration before you record.

Shared the moment you stop.

The link is on your clipboard before the upload ends, and it shows progress until the video is ready. Viewers get the video, captions and a transcript that follows along.

An animation of a share page. The link is copied while the video is still being prepared, with a real percentage. Then the video plays with captions, the transcript beside it lights up line by line, and clicking the last line jumps the video there.

Every second of a recording stays in your browser until the upload is done, and a failed upload waits there with Retry.

Straight from your coding agent.

Ask Claude Code for a demo of what it just built. It writes the context from what changed, shows you every word, and sends it when you say yes.

An animation of a terminal. Claude Code is asked for a demo of the invite flow, writes the demo context with a title, the start address, the steps to show and the changed files, and asks before sending it. After a yes it is sent, and it appears in the Cutscene side panel under Latest from Claude Code, ready to write the script.

It sends a title, a short description and the names of changed files, never source code or diffs, and holds back anything that looks like a password, key or token.

Private by design.

Cutscene works inside the one tab you choose, asks Chrome for each site only when you start there, and never types into a password field.

An animation of a browser with four tabs where only the app's tab is recorded. The cursor types a name into the app, and when it reaches the password field a label says Cutscene never types there.

What leaves your browser

  • Your description and an outline of the page, its text and controls, so the AI can write steps that fit. Context and page text are treated as data, never as instructions.
  • The recording of that one tab, uploaded straight to private storage while you record.
  • From Claude Code, a title, a short description and changed file names. Never source code.

What Cutscene never does

  • Record anything else. Only that tab: never other tabs, other windows or your desktop.
  • Type a password or wander off. A scripted recording stays on your site and stops if the tab closes or goes elsewhere.
  • Keep your keys readable. Sign-in codes and app tokens are stored only as one-way digests.
  • Put your videos in search. Share links cannot be guessed and are kept out of search engines.

Questions.

Plain answers about what Cutscene does today.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome. Cutscene records through a Chrome extension, and the share pages play in any modern browser.

Does it work on localhost and staging?

Yes. It records whatever page you start from in Chrome, signed in as you: localhost, a staging server or production.

Do I need Claude Code?

No. Typing a few sentences in the side panel is enough. The Claude Code plugin is optional and only saves you the typing.

Can I change the script before recording?

Every line. Edit what the voice says and how a word is said, change an action, add, delete or reorder steps. The time on the Record button updates as you go.

What if a step cannot find its button?

The recording pauses, Cutscene looks for the button again, and if it is still missing you choose Retry, Skip or Stop. Paused time does not end up in the video.

Can I record without a script?

Yes. Record myself captures your tab with your microphone, like a regular screen recorder, and adds captions from your speech.

Whose voice is it?

One of eight AI voices you can preview and pick. Your own voice is not available yet.

Who can watch my videos?

Anyone you send the link to. Links cannot be guessed, you can add a password, and share pages are kept out of search results. Deleting a video can be undone for a short while; after that its files are removed.

How long can a video be?

A single recording can run up to two hours. The free plan includes ten minutes of finished video each month.

Your next demo, recorded for you.

Install the extension, describe what you built, and send a narrated video of it.
